Athens-based TSAV named a Small Business Rock Star

ATLANTA | Athens-based TSAV earned “Rock Star” status on Monday. The company earned the Small Business Rock Stars title from the Georgia Department of Economic Development and the Georgia Economic Developers Association during an awards luncheon held in Atlanta. A panel of judges named TSAV and six other Georgia companies tops amongst 54 others nominated from throughout the state. Another seven companies received honorable mentions. “This is an opportunity to put a spotlight on Georgia’s small businesses and, in particular, highlight some of our fastest growing small businesses through our new Small Business Rock Stars program,” said Economic Development Commissioner Chris Carr. The companies can have no more than 100 employees, must demonstrate innovative marketing and have all used assistance from multiple state and federal agencies. TSAV, which designs and installs audio-visual systems in universities and schools, has enjoyed a 200-percent increase in its projects just in 2014. Assistance from various agencies helped it export products to Europe and the Middle East.
